It’s FAÇADE By Mina, School of Arts first year participating in the annual Starlight Gala. This year marks their 20th Anniversary. Façade and Grafic, a revolutionary men’s wear boutique in Vaughan have collaborated in their efforts to present a one-of-a-kind art Gallery, “The Grafic Art Gallery” that will be featured at The Starlight Club the night of the Gala. This year, as our first year introducing the gallery, we have put all our creativity and enthusiasm to create a unique experience and opportunity for 10 students from FAÇADE, to feature their own artwork. The masterpieces will be inspired by Starlight’s theme and message and will be endorsed by 10 NHL Hockey Legend players. The pieces will be autographed and auctioned off at the Gala to raise funds for “The Great Escapes” a program within Children’s Starlight Foundation. One of these lucky students will receive a grand scholarship fund from Grafic, toward their future education and endeavours.

This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone. With the Gala around the corner, the students have worked soo hard to create these works of art, knowing that they will have used their talent to assist other youth in need of help. The Gallery is sure to generate much attention the night of the Gala, and we will use it as a launching platform toward the following years, as we look forward to participating at the Gala annually and take this idea steps further, to evolve each year and present the guests with an interactive, diverse, heart warming and unforgettable experience. Our efforts in entirety will be a success and we are proud to contribute and support Starlight Children’s Foundation on their quest to improve the lifestyle of many sick children and their families throughout Canada.

Look out for gallery photos shortly after Feb 20, 2010, they will be posted on FAÇADE’s website, featuring the student’s artwork, as well as photographs of the celebrities autographing the art work.

You can also visit Grafic, at 3883 Rutherford Rd, to meet the owners and view the art pieces in person, until the end of March 2010. If you are unable to attend the Gala, I encourage you to check them out at Grafic, before they are returned to their new owners.
